3D TOMB II is out!

Yes, I finally released 3D TOMB II : The tomb of the 4096 mummies. Since it's incept this fully textured DOOM-like in DHTML has been optimized down to less than 4k. Thus the new subtitle.

3D TOMB II's site explains some of the game's gore details and keep track of people's comments and features the mandatory hall of fame. Also the most temerous ones can download the whole game and check the source code.

Go Atari!!

This week end, Outline 2007 was held in the Netherlands. This multiplatform demo party still have a focus on Atari. So do I. To support the organizers I entered the oldschool graphics competition with Hiketeia which ranked #2. Unfortunately I missed the deadline and could not submit Ooma 2, a X & Y rotozoom with perspective projection and sample replay, into the boot sector competition.

So far, the feedback have been overwhelming. Thanks!

Asahikawa - 64b city landscape

Let's start the year in a tiny but efficient way. Beside being a capital city of Hokkaido, Japan, Asahikawa is the new intro I just released. It's a city-voxel landscape, in 64 bytes. There's a lovely padding in bonus.

Never again

I'm back from the Assembly'06. My plans were big and everything went about as wrong humanly possible.

First of all, my brand new graphic card and sound card broke in the plane thus loosing a couple hundred euros, 4 hours and the capability to test any sound until 3 hours before the deadline when I borrowed a laptop. However I worked on a new JavaScript demo all the time and finally, in the rush of a plan B, which consisted in using an old and much shorter music, I simply forgot to call the playback method and got 'not qualified' because it was too short.

So, here I say : Never again. I'll never try to code a demo on party place again ... at least not for the next few months.

It just is embarassing.

Hello Norway

It's seems that being a JavaScript freak pays. I've joined Opera Software in november and relocated to Oslo. Among other things I'm working on the Opera Platform.

For years I thought it should be great to work with some of the people who make the web. I was wrong. It's even better than that.
